Valtruis launches Oncology Care Partners, transforming the care journey for cancer patients and providers
New York, N.Y. (Feb. 24, 2022) — Valtruis (a WCAS company) has launched Oncology Care Partners (OCP), a first-of-its-kind platform of owned and affiliated oncology practices purpose-built to transform cancer care in the United States. Within this connected community, providers will have access to the scientific resources, financial support and outcomes-based metrics necessary to deliver genuine value-based care. As increasing numbers of people live long-term with cancer, patients will experience the highest levels of care from specialized oncology teams and clinics right in their own communities or homes.
“Fortunately, cancer is increasingly becoming a chronic condition, with more and more patients living with the disease long-term,” said Tracy Bahl, Valtruis Managing Director. “Oncology Care Partners is building an approach to meet these patients where they are – in their communities, in their homes, on their devices, in their care circles – with world class oncologists, leading technology, and compassionate support. Our mission will be to provide these patients with affordable, accessible, high-quality care when they need it most and in a way that allows them and their families to focus on their care and wellbeing.”
“The OCP environment will enable providers to deliver new levels of care for their patients, while realizing their clinical, professional and financial aspirations,” said Erich Mounce, recently appointed CEO of Oncology Care Partners. “In an era of dynamic, nearly constant innovation in cancer treatment, oncology specialists are searching for equally dynamic innovations within their practices, and OCP is responding to their call. We are delivering the right care model at the right time for providers – and for patients – who want to step into the future right now.”
Oncology Care Partners will build its clinic platform nationally from the ground up with two foundational principles in mind: 1) to support providers in their journey from a fee-for-service model toward data- and outcomes-based treatment; and 2) to expand patient access to integrated, holistic, affordable oncology care management. To this end, OCP has teamed with New Century Health, a national pioneer in oncology and cardiology care management. OCP will utilize New Century Health’s oncology management platform and join its value-based oncology network.
“Our mission is to transform the delivery of specialty care by partnering with payers and providers to drive radical improvements in the quality and cost of care during the patient journey. New Century Health is honored to add Oncology Care Partners to our network and look forward to working closely with this innovative and critically important organization,” said Dan McCarthy, CEO at New Century Health.
